1Overview
Harbor Goods is a curated retailer working with around forty independent makers across the Pacific Northwest. Today they sell through pop-ups and a basic Shopify page that no longer fits how they operate. This document defines the marketplace that replaces it: a platform where each maker runs their own storefront — their story, their catalog, their pricing — while Harbor owns curation, fulfilment standards, and the brand umbrella.
The build is scoped as an MVP first, expanding to the full feature set once the first cohort of makers is live and selling.
2Goals & success metrics
- Onboard the existing ~40 makers within 60 days of launch, each with a self-managed storefront.
- Mobile checkout completion above 70% — buyers shop on their phones in the evening.
- Makers can list a product, see orders, and get paid without chasing Harbor.
Turn any input into a plan.
However a project begins — a rough note or a finished PRD, a document or a conversation — Projectmaven reads it and turns it into a structured, trackable project.
Stay in control of the output.
See what Projectmaven extracted, inferred, or still needs — laid out field by field, with its confidence on each. Nothing is generated until you approve it.
Keep the whole build on track.
Phases, milestones, deliverables, and tasks — each with an owner, a due date, and a live status. The plan stays current as your team ships.
Can we add weekly payouts for smaller makers? Monthly is fine for everyone else.
Stripe Connect supports both — I'll default to monthly with a per-maker setting and unblock this.

Engagement is billed against the milestones in §3. An initial deposit of 30% is invoiced on signature; the remaining balance is split across milestone acceptance dates and due net 14 from each invoice.
Marketplace payouts to makers are processed via Stripe Connect. Maker payouts settle on a monthly schedule, with funds released 7 days after each order is marked fulfilled. Harbor retains a 4% platform fee per transaction, deducted at payout.
Expenses outside this scope — third-party services, paid media, or additional environments — are passed through at cost and itemized on the next invoice.
Can we add weekly payouts for smaller makers? §4 looks great otherwise.
Yes — Stripe Connect supports both. Defaulting to monthly with a per-maker setting.
